Are you in a special track or focus during your residency?

I am not in a special track within residency, but I am interested in sports medicine and lifestyle medicine.

Why did you choose UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program? Why Pittsburgh?

I chose UPMC Shadyside for my residency because of the educational, collaborative, and enriching environment I experienced on my rotation. The residents and faculty are friendly, supportive, and dedicated to teaching, making me feel like I belong and would receive an excellent education. Additionally, I knew that I’d experience all facets of family medicine and receive well-rounded training as the program provides a wide breadth of experiences in both academic and community medicine. Pittsburgh is also home to me and a city that I love, making it the perfect place to train and grow as a physician.

What are your goals while here in the residency program? How will this prepare you to be an excellent physician?

During my residency training, my goal is to become a well-rounded family medicine physician providing comprehensive and compassionate care. I aim to expand my medical knowledge and clinical skills through the rotations UPMC Shadyside offers and practice holistic care for the diverse patient population in Pittsburgh. I am devoted to becoming an empathetic and trusted healthcare provider for my future patients.

Do you have any special interests outside of the residency?

Outside of residency, I enjoy being outside ~ I love running, hiking, biking, and gardening. I also greatly enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog.
