Gretchen Crum has 30 years of leadership and clinical experience at UPMC in integrated health care and collaborative care models within primary care settings. She has experience working with teams at UPMC Children’s Hospital, Western Psychiatric Hospital, and Children’s Community Pediatrics. Ms. Crum was a leader in UPMC building the American Psychiatric Association’s award-winning Pediatric Integrated Care Service.
Ms. Crum has advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and Balint Group Leadership, and is a trainer of Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment for substance use disorders.
As Director of the behavioral science curriculum, she serves on the family medicine faculty and brings a wealth of experience teaching physicians and residents the skills necessary to screen and treat patients with common psychiatric conditions, as well as teaching the art of communicating effectively and with respect to patients with behavioral health conditions.
She trained at the University of Chicago before moving to Pittsburgh.
